I had a prolong and bad fever in the last two weeks of Ramadhan. A lot of things and works were out of the schedule due to the fever.
2. THE LAST QIAMULAIL & THE LAST RAMADHAN
My cousin passed away on the night 23 of Ramadhan while on his qiamulail in the surau. He was reciting the zikr and collapsed on his friend’s lap. Doesn’t it beautiful dying in that way, die while you are praising and remembering Allah after the Taubat prayer in last ten night of Ramadhan?
At almost the same time, on the 23 of Ramadhan night another high school friend was defeated by cancer living behind a 5 years old daughter. I’ve been surrounded by those who has big C and knowing one by one was defeated is not really easy.

3. SYMPATHY
My neighbour’s children and my sister’s childhood friend’s seven children came to our house this raya. They just became orphans few months ago. It was really sad and sympathy looking at them losing their beloved ones at young ages. My brother said this was how people looking at us when our mother leaving us. We can survive throughout these years so insyallah they will survive too.
4. MAKCIK
For all these years I really wanted to meet this makcik. She was our neighbour and a widow who took care of us especially my brother and providing us with lunch after my mother passed away. Unfortunately, she moved to other town few years after. I do think we owed her a lot. I was really happy she came to our house this raya. I’ve bought and kept kain batik to give her for many years. At last I have the chance to do it.
5. HANTU RAYA DI HARI RAYA
There are too many films of hantu during hari raya on TV programs. Instead of highlighting the spirit of Ramadhan and Syawal , apparently the TV producers were more interested on other “spirits”. Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I think it is enough to talk about unhappy things during my Ramadhan and Raya.
