Salam Maal Hijrah

The Islamic Era did not start with the victories of Islamic wars, nor with the birth or death of the Prophet (peace be upon him), nor with the Revelation itself. Another year ends with doa led another year to start with doa. A new chapter, a new beginning and a new hope. May Allah bless us and fill our life with happiness, full of success and hopefully lead us to hijrah for becoming a better Muslim. May this year also brings us more barakah and rahmat from Allah.

This is last year wish of of Maal Hijrah. I posted it again with the same hope of this new year.I'm going to do another 'hijrah' which I think it is not easy to begin all over again when I'm already so comfortable in my old routine. Again, hopefully this "hijrah" lead me to become become a better person with a higher iman.

Sometimes There are Things Which are Not Meant to Be Yours

I want to talk about it but I cannot blog it explicitly. There are things which are you have to keep for yourself. No, no this is not regarding my Phd. Not at all!

10 years ago I got an opportunity but I blew it away. I regret for my decision and action that time. I know it is not good to say if only I let go my egoism that time..., things might changed. I blame solely myself for that but still believe things happen for a reason. So I keep consoling myself that time I was just immature young woman and full of emotions.I keep reminding; Mistake is just a mistake.

But it didn't happen only once, I got another opportunity and blew it again. This is not a mistake, this is definitely a stupidity. Just another failure in my life

Lesson learned. After so many years of waiting I got another opportunity. I'm really happy but put extra cautious on it. Praying hard that I won't take a wrong step, make unwise decision and action. I don't want to let go this opportunity. Unfortunately things didn't happen as planned. It doesn't work out. I fail to keep it for me. This time I don't blame myself anymore. I put all my effort to get it but I can't control things that are not belong to me. God might have a better plan for me and replace with a better opportunity. Truly I'm sad and utterly frustrated. I keep reminding myself jgn terlampau berharap because Sometimes There are Things Which are Not Meant to Be Yours.

Alkisah... .. Seorang lelaki islam ponteng sembahyang Jumaat. Sebaliknya dia masuk hutan untuk memburu ayam hutan. Sedang dia terhendap2 di dalam semak, tiba2 dia berlanggar dengan seekor HARIMAU yang sedang lena tidur.

Dia begitu terkejut sehingga senapangnya tercampak lalu tergelungsur ke

... ... dalam jurang. Dia pula tergolek ke arah lain, jatuh ke atas batu dan KRAKKKK! Kedua2 kakinya patah. Jangan risau .. ini bukanlah berita buruk ok. Ada lagi .. Berita buruknya adalah HARIMAU tadi terus menghambatnya, sedangkan dia dah tak boleh
bergerak lagi.

"Ya Allah," doa lelaki tersebut,"Ampunilah dosaku kerana ponteng sembahyang jumaat berjemaah pada hari Jumaat yang mulia ini ..

Ampunilah aku ya Allah ...makbulkan hajat ku ini .. jadikanlah HARIMAU yang memburuku HARIMAU yang beriman .. tolong ya Allah! Aminnn.."

Tiba2 guruh berdentum! HARIMAU tadi tiba2 terhenti betul2 di hadapan lelaki
tadi.

Harimau itu bertukar menjadi seekor harimau yang beriman dan bersopan santun.

Sambil menadah kedua2 kaki depannya ke langit .. HARIMAU tersebut pun berdoa, "Allahumma barik lana, fima razaktana, wa qina azzabbannar. Amin!
