Hari ni 15 Jun, saya ingin berbahasa Melayu kerana jika saya berbahasa Inggeris saya masih mempunyai mempunyai kejahilan vocab yang mungkin menyebabkan kejahilan maksud yang ingin disampaikan, Jadi sebelum saya menunjukkan kejahilan diri saya, adalah lebih baik saya mengambil langkah selamat walaupun saya tahu bahasa melayu saya sama buruk dengan bahasa Inggeris saya. Mungkin saya lebih baik menulis/membaca nombor berbanding menulis/membaca ayat (betul ke ayat saya ni?)

1. Saya sibuk seperti biasa, sudah pertengahan Jun, saya mempunyai date line untuk paper conference. SV sudah mengingatkan supaya menghantar paper tu seberapa segera. Kata saya, saya cuba; kata sv, saya mesti. SV menyuruh menunjukkan model terbaru saya untuk dianalis hari Jumaat ini. Tanya SV, OK? Jawab saya, agak tak OK sebab saya masih jahil tentang model baru itu. Kata SV, mana boleh tak OK, mesti OK; Jawab saya OKlah.

2. Hari ini dengan semangat berkobar2 saya ingin membetulkan model saya tetapi internet di U*M tidak OK, begitu juga broadband yang saya bawa. Bahan rujukan untuk saya memahami model tersebut tidak dapat didownload. Semangat saya terbantut.

3. Semangat saya lagi terbantut, bila melihat kartun di utusan malaysia 15 Jun. Tidak kelakar, malah menyedihkan (not funny but so pathetic). Jauh di sudut hati, saya ingatkan saya agak jahil dalam agama tetapi saya terfikir rupa-rupanya ada lagi orang jahil dari saya dan tidak segan silu menunjukkan kejahilan dia. Saya mungkin marah kalau surat khabar asing yg menghina hukum Islam, mahu saya bakar kilang surat khabar tersebut. Tetapi saya sudah tidak tahu apa perasaan saya apabila utusan malaysia yang melakukannya walaupun saya bukan pembaca/peminat tegar utusan Malaysia. Dalam hati saya lagi, patutlah rugi juta2, tapi ini cuma kata hati saya yang telah dizahirkan di dalam blog. Mungkin saya patut kata, kita bakor!, kita bakor!. Mungkin perkataan Usop Wicha lebih lawak dari karikatur tersebut. Ada juga perasaan malu bagi saya bila utusan malaysia terutama pelukis karikatur tidak dapat membezakan 2 perkataan. Kata kawan saya; dia pelukis, bukan penulis jadi dia tidak faham bahasa, tapi kata saya bukan ke di bawah utusan malaysia ada penyunting dsb yg sepatutnya tahu 2 perkataan berbeza. Kalau utusan Malaysia tidak tahu perbezaan 2 perkataan tersebut yang selama ini telah berjuta2 kali dicetak (sehingga saya segan melatih anak sedara saya membaca menggunakan surat khabar)di muka hadapan surat khabar tersebut, sepatutnya ia bertukar menjadi utusan Rusia, uzbezkistan @ negara2 yg saya tidak paham bahasa mereka

Saya tidak pernah mencemarkan blog saya dengan perkataan yang kurang enak disebut tetapi hari ini 15 Jun dengan ilmu saya yang cetek mungkin ada kekhilafan juga ingin saya nyatakan bahawa rogol dan zina adalah dua perkataan yang berbeza dari segi bahasa dan maksud. Dari segi Islam mempunyai hukuman juga berbeza. Untuk hukuman dia sila cari sendiri, yg pasti karikatur itu pada pendapat saya agak jahil kerana rogol tidak semestinya memerlukan 4 saksi seperti yang dikatakan di dalam karikatur tersebut (sila cari rujukan sendiri kalau saya salah). Malas saya nak bercerita panjang, kalau saya bercerita panjang kadang lebih menunjukkan kejahilan saya sendiri. Oleh itu, untuk memahami maksud saya sila rujuk di sini

4. Segerhana hati saya pada 15 Jun kerana karikatur tersebut, mengingatkan saya malam ini gerhana bulan penuh @ sepatutnya saya katakan pagi esok. Oleh itu, saya mengingatkan diri saya yang jahil ini dan orang lain jika berjaga nak tengok gerhana bulan penuh @ mengambil gambar untuk menceritakan keajaiban ciptaan Allah @ ketakjuban diri sendiri kerana dapat mengambil gambar bulan tersebut pada keesokannya, jangan lupa solat gerhana dan solat2 sunat amalan lain. 5. Saya berharap saya mempunyai kekuatan dan dapat berjaga malam ini bukan kerana ingin melihat bulan gerhana tetapi supaya dapat diberi peluang solat gerhana & kerana juga model saya masih belum selesai. Saya masih perlu berusaha mengurangkan kejahilan saya tentang model tersebut dan berjumpa SV saya lusa. Harap SV saya akan berkata OK dan bukannya OK?.

It is already June, again what else I can say I'm racing against time and the time left me so fast. So, I need to double up my effort and pray a lot. Full stop.

I'm Blaming Everyone & Everything for My "Achievement"

I didn't notice it is already 15 May, half of the month. Yes, again how time flies so fast. So what achievement I have this month;

1. Gaining 3 kilos from my normal weight. What an achievement!!! Blame on my busy schedule lately that I didn't have time to use my treadmill. Also blame on my appetite which love eating nasi lemak so much lately. Blame on the government who raised the issue of nasi lemak in school making nasi lemak so tempting to me.

2. Increasing more power to my spectacle. Hopefully I'm not going to turn from part time specky to full time specky. Blaming on more time spending in front of my computer rather than looking at green trees. Blame on the those who shot the monkeys infront of my workstation. When there is no more monkey hanging from trees to trees or watching me doing my work what attraction do I have to look at those green trees?



3. Increasing in my spending since I had to buy nasi lemak and making new spectacle to fulfill my need. Blame on the world oil price for making the Ron 97 increase and as the consequences the price of basic nasi lemak increased from RM1.50 to RM1.80 and the price multicoated lens increased from RM80 to RM120.

4. Progressing in my thesis but in a slow pace. Blaming on myself for not hardworking enough. It is fair enough at least I'm blaming myself on this part.

5.5.11

5.5.11 was a date of yesterday. Nice numbers but not for Malaysians it is not a good sign since;

1. Ron97 price increased by RM0.20 by on this date. The new price for Ron97 will RM2.90, the highest price so far. Read this

2. Central Bank increased the overnight policy rate (OPR)to 3% from 2.75%, up 25 basis points.

3. Central Bank increased statutory reserve requirement (SRR) from three per cent from two per cent, effective May 16.

Ron97 already increase 3 times this year. It is economic supply shock that increase the price of goods and lead to inflation. Thus, interest rate hike is inevitable to combat this problem. However with the increase of OPR those who use loan/bank lending rate will get hit.In other words the bank financing will see increase in interest charges once the banks hikes their rate. Everybody knows that it is not a good time to make a bank loan.

4. That is a common explanation when the government take this action. So today I wait anxiously if SV will asked me the consequences of these actions because he used to do that since I'm dealing with OPR, BLR and monetary transmission mechanism. However, SV did it in a more "mean' way. He saw me walking with my friends for lunch, he honked us and stopped the car said to my friend to tell me kirim salam and tanya dia tesis dah siap? my excuse - macam mana tesis nak siap sebab harga minyak tak stabil and polisi BNM sentiasa berubah.

Again, 5.5.11 is a nice number for car's plat number (note:one of my SVs used 5511 as his car plat number) but not for the economist because you are going to find in laporan bank negara & etc about this date and for the econometrician there is something can be tested on this date.

Progress

SV just came back from Cyprus with full of ideas. He called me few times to discuss the ideas. OKlah at least I'm positive my thesis is still moving rather than been static for quite sometime. While I'm trying to find a suitable phrases to start my writing I found this,

Cost of Living in Malaysia

I really want to write about the price increase in consumer goods but my super duper busy routine lately doesn't allow me to write. However, I came across this interesting facts taken from here


If you don't know already, it's expensive to live in Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur. A report shows that Malaysians have less purchasing power than many nationals elsewhere.


The Malaysian Insider, an online Malaysian news website, examined the purchasing power of Malaysians in comparison to nationals of other countries. The website cited a 2010 Prices and Wages report by UBS AG, a Swiss banking giant.

Here are the highlights:

The purchasing power of KL residents is 33.8% of New Yorkers; 42% compared to London, 33.7% to Sydney, 32.6% to Los Angeles, and 31.6% to Zurish.

KL workers need to labour 22 minutes for a bread loaf. In comparison, Los Angeles counterparts take 18 minutes. In Sydney, it's 16 minutes. In Tokyo, 15 minutes. In Zurich, 12 minutes.

The Malaysian Insider also compared broadband prices in Malaysia to those in countries. Even after currency conversion, Malaysia comes out on top... in expensiveness. Here's the summary:

Melbourne - 5-8Mbps broadband package - AUD40
New York - 7Mbps broadband package - USD41.95

Here's another tidbit from The Malaysian Insider article:

In KL, a Honda Civic is priced at RM115,000 - 20 times an auditor's average monthly earnings.

In Melbourne & London, the price is respectively AUD25,000 and GBP19,000 - 3 times an auditor's average monthly earnings in those places.

I'm Stressed.....

All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either

It is already April. A lot of things didn't go well last month.


1. My thesis progress did not go well as it planned

2. Losing my house keys. Had to call somebody to break into my house

3. Losing my previous exam slip which I suppose too submit to human resource department.

4.Losing my important document, when i needed it badly.

5. my brother scolded me because he said I didn't give him the right address to send a document. The truth is, he didn't write it the no jln. Should I blame Mr postman for this?

6.Looking at the front page of the newspaper and watching the prime news.

7. The current political issue. I never interested in discussing/watching/ reading political issue. Now, I am just so totally sick to my stomach when people talking about it.
