A Procrastinator

Lately, I’m really good procrastinator (or I’m trying to avoid of doing my homework, paper project and etc) and this quote has made me laugh;

A Quote : There's enough literature on curing procrastination; it's time for a new emphasis on how best to enjoy it.

Here are 10 tips to procrastinate like a pro (from 2009 Planner by Mark Asher)

  1. If something spills on your desk, clean the whole desk and shelves too.
  2. Never let a a critical task get in the way of going to the store to replenish something you're almost out of.
  3. Make sure everything is in proper working order before you begin working.
  4. Always take your lunch break on time and allow plenty of time for digestion before returning to work.
  5. Analyze a task multiple times before leaping into action.
  6. Never take on more than you think you can possibly handle.
  7. Never go for long periods without checking your email
  8. If you're shopping for one thing, look for other you might need or your parents might need or your neighbors might need.
  9. Keep up with technology by changing the ring tone on your cell phone every day.
  10. Never fear leaving your work - it'll be there when you get back.

After reading few times of this "sarcastic" tips given above I realized that I’m wasting a lot of my time and abundance of my work is still waiting in line. Then, this Surah has reminded me…

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

(1) By the time of the afternoon! (2) Surely, the human is in a (state of) loss, (3) except those who believe and do good works and charge one another with the truth and charge one another with patience.

Ya Allah! I stand before you humbled

Dear Azuriy, Assalamua'laikum,

Some wisdom tips and some advices to help you boost up your good mood today (I believe that you have heard/found some of them before. Well, that is what advice is for, right sis? as I define it.. Advice is what you ask when you already know the answer, but wished you didn't)

Here we go;
1. Be courage sis - courage is fear holding on a minute longer.

2. You need to love the work sis - work with love will make us stick to the task longer, but if we work only with distaste, it is better not to prolong.

3. Stop doing nothing sis - the problem with doing nothing is we never know when we’re done.

4. However if you think that those procrastination activities mean something to you, why stop? Enjoy it..(I guess) and don't worry - worrying is like a rocking chair, you can rock forever but it will get you nowhere.

5. What we do everyday should contribute to giving our life meaning. If it doesn't, why are we doing it. Right sis?

6. Hard time is normal sis - if you are not having a hard time, you are not developing your Character.

I also like the picture shown. It means to me that you still aim for the highest achievement. Keep it up. Word of wisdom related to that;

1. If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of a giant - Mark Twain

2. Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached the top. Then you will see how low it was.

Last but not least;
A setback is for a time, not a lifetime. Setbacks are difficult at best and can totally get you off track, discouraged and ready to give up. However, a setback can also be a sign that it is time to go in a different direction, start something new or look at the situation from a new perspective.
Setbacks are temporary and an inevitable part of life. If you take the setbacks in stride and keep on going, you can turn setbacks into success.

Keep smiling Azuriy. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. I-lal-li-qa' was-sa-la-mah
