EXAM
My prelim exam was taken place after Malaysian celebrated the long holidays and Malidur Rasul. Well...I must admit that I didn’t do really well in the exam. There were topics that I haven’t enough time to cover and the questions were on that topics. Serve me right but I’m still hoping for the best. The exam was hels for 5 hours and there were only two students who took the prelim exam the semester. Me and Kak Z. But after 20 minutes the exam started, I was the only student who took the exam when Kak Z bailed out. I was shocked with her action as I know she is a really brilliant, hardworking and knowledgeable student in the faculty. I was down when she left the exam room. For another half an hour I almost cried and the only reason I hold my tear was because the invigilator was there staring at me (I’m not exaggerating about this one) When my sister asked about the exam and asked me why I should be like Neng Yatimah because she saw no reasons I should cry. He3x. As for me, I was stunned and quite emotion when I saw my friend bailed out from the battle and left you alone even it was individual exam. Any way, Kak Z called me the day after and explained everything.
I managed to be in the exam rooms for 5 hours after changing many positions and styles of sitting on the chair. It was really a mentally exhausted moment. They prepared with foods and drinks, but who cares about that while you are in the critical moment like that.
Now, I’m just hoping for the best and need to do a lot solat hajat.
POSTGRADUATE’S BBQ NIGHT
On the night after the exam day, I was invited to go to BBQ night in the golf club. At first, I didn’t want to go but since I was informed that I will receive one of the awards from the dean, I agreed to go. I went there half heartedly after a tiring day. The event started at 8 p.m but arrived at 9.00 p.m since I couldn’t find the place and lost. Not a good driver and a dumb direction person! However, I still manage to receive my award.
THE BUAH NANGKA BUSUK JATUH TRAGEDY
The incident happened few days before my exam took place. I wanted to go to the library and on the way to the library I met with few high rank persons in the Faculty and people from Press. They had some sort of event of introducing the new kiosks sponsored by KPUN. Since that was the shortcut to the library, I decided just to pass by all those persons because the event didn’t look so formal. After giving salam to the Professors who were standing there, I just walked nicely and politely but all sudden it was too slippery, and I fall. That was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life. I felt like running to the South Pole and hiding in the igloo for the next 5 months or freezing myself in the iceberg. Two of the professors who were standing there taught me last semester. The incident cost me a day of not studying since the “falling’ part keep rewinding in my head. Somebody brought the news about the incident to the postgraduate room and I was the laughing stock there. One of my friends was concerned about my right hand and arm since there were bruises and she was afraid that it will be aches to write in the exam.
BALIK KAMPUNG
I really need a break now. Besides that, my father already asks me to go back. Maybe he missed me very much. He3x

Dear Azuriy, Assalamua'laikum,
Looking at the whole picture of the condition of your qualifying exam, I believe you did well. InsyaAllah you could pass the exam. Studying PhD in economic (my guess only) is not a matter of the answer is right or wrong, however, it is more to the” thinking” and analyses that you put in the answer. Well, anyhow, my guts feelings say, you seem pass the exam. Moreover, the dean has recognized yourself for the award you received. That in a way can open up an opportunity for you to be considered to be accepted into the next stage in your PhD study in the faculty (no matter how small the award is). As I also mentioned many times, you are a strong person, and I really “puji” your spirit in finishing the exam. Well done Sis! You have made your time spent struggling for your study review for the pass few weeks, very worth it.
No comment really on the “nangka busuk” fall tragedy. My advise, keep doing exercise. Dah terjatuh, nak buat macamanakan!? Its from Allah. Don’t let it be in your mind for a long time for now. Open it later after 5 or 10 years, then it will be nicer.
May be the incident got related to your farther. He keeps mentioning your name. Then only after the fall you realized you need to balik kampong he3x.
My Scottish friend used to tell me about a proverb from his place; When a son grown up, he will LEAVE you. However, when a daughter grown up, she will still LOVE you. You are a lucky daughter Sis, who still have a farther to love.
