A Long Leave

I take a long leave covering the labour day until the election day. I thought  I just need a break after having having a busy schedule for the whole semester.  A friend made a joke and saying I was eager to vote. Having a day off from work I realized I don't need a break coz I don't know what to do.  eat,  sleep, watching tv, cooking and  went for shopping do not not excite me anymore.  I think I just enjoy my life in my cubicle office and feeling like busy @ maybe I just need a holiday far away from home. Btw, this picture was taken last year while enjoying myself eating seafood with my chess team.

Assalamua'laikum Dear Azuriy,

What a nice areal view photo for your blog page background. It reminds me on our actual status; how small are we in size that we have to take care of other bigger creations of Allah. We could do that only and only by asking Allah's guidance otherwise they will easily destroy us.

Regarding your unexcited feeling during holidays, I would suggest you to create your own small project that can be done continuously (you control the time where it can be stopped and started at any time you want). You can also discuss any family project with your close siblings first (maybe to get all our family members get together is hard to arrange) where you can do some groundwork first. If you really need a holiday far away from home, I would strongly suggest for an UMRAH. You can start reading books or find more information about Mekah and Madinah especially anything related to their history, Rasulullah, sahabah and interesting places. This could make yourself be prepared to go there and feel really eager to be at few places there.

You could also plan a short trip to go hiking or climbing or site seeing in Malaysia. There are so many interesting places in Malaysia that I also have never been there.

But the best thing to do when we have that situation Sis is (I heard from a motivational session I had attended) to train ourselves to start istiqamah in reading Al-Quran or attending any "kuliah agama" for seeking knowledge. Its ok if the topics discussed seem not suit us (maybe only our perception) but just be there and write somethings. If we sometimes need to force ourselves, then we have to do it. Once we could control our 'nafs' then you would feel to need more time to spend in other kuliah. Wallahua'lam.

I only try to help you. I would also feel happy if you are happy Sis. So, keep smiling and take a good care of your self as well. Remember my dear Sis, we have Allah to refer to everytime when we feel 'kosong' and bored.

Assalamua'laikum, Dear Azuriy,

The month of Rejab is coming to the end. Isra' walMi'raj is an important night happened in that month. Syaaban is about to emerge and nisfu Shaaban not to be forgotten (as well as your ondeh2).
Then comes Ramadhan with a lot of barakah for us.

Let us forget all the sadness, up setting and all that sound negative. Let us feel happy for the coming Ramadhan and inshaAllah Ramadhan will also be happy to meet with us.

May Allah grant you with an improved level of 'sabar'. Keep smiling Sis. Ilalliqa' wassalamah
